@andrewlarson7895 wrong. There's big misconception ,in the western media, about it. Russia indeed gets some of it electronics from the west, BUT NOT ALL. That's the misconception point of it... That what 99% of people don't get. Alot of the information is simply missing from the web for one or the other reason. You simply can not find alot of reliable information... or find it misleading articles which were written by the western media. (Ofcourse not all, but alot of the information is straight up written by the western media machine or the people who were influenced (brаinwashed) by the western media narrative, as it is practically the same thing). Cooperation in Russian case with the west doesn't mean dependence ,but rather convenience ,ease of use ,and a cheaper price in some cases.
Again, not all of it is lies, but majority of the key points in order to form the "right image" that everything is bad in Russia is, including that narrative that if western countries don't supply electronics to Russian that Russian aviation (or MS 21 in particular) would die. They can't even distinguish between the two different aircrafts (MS 21 300 and MS 21 310) if they can't even do that, and don't mention it, there's no even point trusting that article further on.
I'm just going to reiterate and make some clarifications that there were different versions and different plans on the aircraft MS21 , they got shifted several times, some of those plans have failed , but alas as it stands currently, after all of the corrections and improvements that aircraft MS 21 310 is going to be able to fly in a few years time (while MS 21 300 production might get haulted)... without the western parts or technologies.

@andrewlarson7895 Dude literally there is no reason for me to fight your bs that's been engraved in your mind by the western media (which they've done so quite successfully) . You are not speaking facts or numbers , you are just spewing your propaganda with no substance.
For starters Russian mid range passenger plane market niche is in the 100s and is around 600 - 700 planes. It is expected to grow to at least to 1k in a few years. Even if Russia only saturates it's own market at a rate of 10 to 100 planes p.a. that will perfectly suffice the cost of the program, and will make the program succeed. So as long as Russia is able to build the plane, the market will always be there, regardless of the outcome of the program.
Second, China's market is in the thousands... So even if you just take a fraction of that market it will be another, say a thousand planes required for production... But there are programs to get it into Europe too even though it is harder to get it through because of the sanctions and an American (Anglo Saxonian) patronage over Europe, it is not impossible, and eventually it will slip into the European market too (it's too long to explain all of the intricate details and geopolitics in a small post on youtube, so not even going to bother).
Even if it doesn't , the program (MS 21) has the rest of the world as it's market , (aside from the Western world,) which is 5 bil people, and a market of tens of thousands of planes. I will reiterate it is not a question whether it can find a market to sell it to, it is out of the question... The only question (for you) is whether Russia is going to be able to build it or not, so that it can saturate the available niche in the market and grow, in order for it to be a success.
And it absolutely can be and will be (again too long to explain every single detail and technology going into a single plane and it's jet engines, but all of the crucial technologies, to build the plane ,are present in Russia, so it is not a question of "if" but rather "how long would it take").
p.s. If you think Russia can't do it, then there's no point wasting each others time. I'm not here to convince you that Russia can do it, you can think whatever you like. I just get completely aggravated by seeing all the western media bs about Russia, and people who got brain sapped by it, spewing it on the internet.
