  1. Great video. 👍 To my understanding both things happened. They were fed well at times, and at times not well, only when Russians wouldn't get enough rations themselves. The problem with prisoners is that they are your responsibility, so you have to take care of them and feed them... The question is, how do you feed an extra 100k unexpected souls which the command hadn't accounted for? It's a question of logistics. You all of a sudden need to provide food for an additional 100k army ... Say it's a 1kg of food every day per person, so it's an additional 100 tons of foods, which a Soviet truck can carry up to 2 tons, so it's an additional convoy of 20 - 40 trucks daily, that you have to arrange for the prisoners. Which is a massive headache in terms of logistics. (One thing for sure though, there wasn't any ill intent there.)
