  1.  @wadopotato33  Except that they had both patents for single engine and the triple engine configuration just like in the Yak plane. Regardless they did obtain it and did use it in their development of the F35. It obviously wasn't a full copy. But it does have some research and development of the Yak plane in it.

  3.  @AA-xo9uw  Nope 1993. They patented different variant which are copies of the Yak. And used the technology from that plane in their F35s.
