Where are the Merchant Marines? Why are they not being allowed to support Coast Guard and patrol the Rio Grande? Merchant Mariners were very important in WW2 Delivering Munitions in hostile territory. They are never recognized, and they still exist. My Dad was a Merchant Mariner who went on to work his lufe career at the Coast Guard.

@bobprivate8575 My Dad Served during WW2 as a Merchant Mariner. They declared war on Drugs, right? Far as I know that was never declared over. Coast Guard does a lot with drug trafficking. If we have the resources, why not use them?
