But at least the public sector strikers are happy, eh?

Wasn't Phony Tony one of Blair's names?

Probably not. Public sector are well looked after.

My standing charge adds up to £321 per year. There are 28 million households in the UK. That's 9 BILLION quid! There will be those who say this is the figure for maintenance. How would they know? The energy market is captive, a supplier's market. If they need a standing charge to balance the books, they're doing it wrong. Do supermarkets have a standing charge?

@Craig121000 Get off the thread then

Apathy - the natural result of demoralization.

I believe in freedom of religion but at no time should religion pull the strings of government.

Gravy. And they're getting it. And we're bleeding for it.

And it looks like the US could make the same mistake. People with no hindsight or foresight: an election decided by goldfish.

This government is the worms hiding under the barrel.

Pensioners - Grandparents - are an essential part of the support structure of families. "There is no such thing as society" - a quote that applies 200% to Globalists. MT's words go as follows: I think we have gone through a period when too many children and people have been given to understand “I have a problem, it is the Government's job to cope with it!” or “I have a problem, I will go and get a grant to cope with it!” “I am homeless, the Government must house me!” and so they are casting their problems on society and who is society? There is no such thing! There are individual men and women and there are families and no government can do anything except through people and people look to themselves first. It is our duty to look after ourselves and then also to help look after our neighbour and life is a reciprocal business and people have got the entitlements too much in mind without the obligations, because there is no such thing as an entitlement unless someone has first met an obligation.

Correct. Pity is no substitute for compassion. Pity seeks to patronize and enslave.
