@dfmrcv862 English speakers in Russia? Seriously, we don’t consider tourists as citizens of the country. Yes, there are many foreign students, but they learn/try to speak Russian.

@alexpetrov6079 You are talking about the Polish language, but Polish was the local language. Only the Poles understood this; even the Little Russians created their own language: Ukrainian. In those days, there was no particular point in studying Polish. And the Ramanovs banned languages, only Alexander II made Finnish an official language along with Russian.

@dfmrcv862 Polish and Russian are two Slavic languages, plus then Poland was part of the Russian Empire. Where the state language was Russian, Polish was local. And the Poles moving to other parts of Russia learned Russian. Because not many understood Polish, there was also a practice when the Poles learned with Russians in other international languages: French, German. Therefore, a person not living in Poland did not have to learn Polish in order to visit the country a couple of times.

@dfmrcv862 what kind a language’s?As an Russian I understand Serbian,Ukrainian,little beat Czech.But exactly yes,if u live in country and don’t know language it’s sucks.
