  2. I couldn’t agree with you more. Unfortunately, the US has gone all in on monetary capital, forgetting the social capital part of the capitalism equation.

  3.  @handledeeznutz109  Actually, Finland has taken a ‘housing first’ approach. The idea being, how can you get healthy if you don’t have a safe place to sleep? It’s been remarkably effective.

  4.  @handledeeznutz109  no, but the principles still hold. It’s an excellent test case. For a long time, shelters, supported housing, etc have required people to be clean and sober. It was considered to be ‘rewarding bad behaviour’ to do otherwise. Maybe that needs to change.

  5. The police officer didn’t promise no prison, or no charges. He offered him no jail- i.e. being released that night from the hospital instead of having to stay in jail overnight.
