They dont want to risk any sort of reversal, they know the Ukrainians would try to push to Moscow and risk being nuked

@nibelsteiner929 the "arsenal" of democracy these days is geared up for peacetime requirements and counterinsurgency, expensive high tech toys and not the sort of deep reserve of basic munitions used to keep enemies suppressed, area denial etc.

@nibelsteiner929 the thing is, that would require not just increases in military spending but also in military recruitment and retention and certainly in Europe thats a real problem. When there are actual wars being fought nobody wants to join, nobody wants to stay. Sure as shut, nobody wants to fight fellow Europeans like Russia and we have no business engaging with China either.

@guydreamr hat do you do when your country is being surrounded and your strategic areas strangled and pinched off? Trust that everyone else around you is as much a pacifist as you are? Sorry thats just not how it works
