My first car was a 1990 land rover defender, the clutch pedal was so heavy that after leg day at the gym i had to press it down with both legs. I adored it and thought id have manuals for the rest of my life. Fast forward to 2011 and im 27, 3 kids and my Dad passed away, now i need 7 seats for kids and Mum etc, whats the sensible option? Of course, a 1996 4.5 i6 Land Cruiser, an automatic, and runs on LPG. Beautiful machine, cheap to run now that im 40 and still running fine. Both transmission types have their advantages, but at least i can still use my wife's manual Honda Accord. Better to learn in a manual, then you can enjoy both
