@matthewclark703 that’s very surprising. Do you have a proper degree in accounting or just some training certificates in bookkeeping or minor accounting. Audit firms are always in need of accounting graduates. Not the highest paying job and definitely one of the most stressful, but it’s a great training ground to spice your career up.

@calmmind7619 what’s your degree?

@matthewclark703 that’s strange, accounting is always in demand

@andrearmattoe2669 your degree is not in demand that’s why.

@ that might be true with regards to tech industry or fancy sales and marketing jobs. Perhaps you haven’t been exposed to the more technical ones like accounting. In accounting/audit firms they’re always in need. It’s a stressful job and boring, which is why it’s not talked about. People only talk about sales/marketing or tech or IT if not medical related jobs or law when career is being discussed. I supposed you’ve never heard about accounting and audit works. They’re stressful and usually you have to work long hours occasionally but they’re still amongst the most secured

If you have one of those useless fancy degrees like sociology, gender studies, psychology,etc. you’re bound to be in this depressing situation. However if your course is something technical, you’re almost always never run out of opportunities be it big or small. So choosing a degree is critical.

@Jcewazhere yeah that kind of mindset is why we have lots of jobless graduates. The examples you mentioned are one in a million possibilities and not the norm. Gender studies lectures not everyone else is interested to that because such ideology cannot forced to everyone. If you insist on taking fancy degrees then you should not be whining why there’s not much jobs for you.
