  1. Consider comparing The Dispossessed by Ursula K Le Guin to Voyage from Yesteryear by James P Hogan. Le Guin is the better writer but I think Hogan knew more about technology and economics.

  2. I just watched your "Why I Quit Academia" video and found the economics rather grim. Now I see that I commented on Le Guin's economic dichotomy a year ago but no one responded. The global economy is on the verge of getting catastrophically weird with China's real estate implosion and Putin's glorious war imploding Russia. But Le Guin did not come up with a socioeconomic solution. Economists and educators making accounting/finance mandatory in high schools is too difficult a concept but making sure everyone knows about planned obsolescence must be too far out of the box.
