In every current American military operation, except in Assad's Syria, the U.S. has been invited by the government of those countries to help fight Islamist terrorism. Are those the 'on going wars' that you are opposed to? Do you like Islamic terrorism? Three European countries, Moldova, Ukraine and Georgia has not invited the Russian troops on their sovereign territory. They consider those troops occupational forces, and has urged Russia to withdraw them. It is only in Syria where Russia is invited and America is not. And that is because the Russian and Syrian dictators are in love, and both hates democracy and freedom.
