I want a Authoritarian system , coercive foreign policy and military presence well beyond my border - sounds like the same thing US has been doing mostly barring Authoritarian system part.

The first world wants more and more foreigners come to their land and work. They are even ready to legalize illegally entered immigrants. But in India we are thinking 40 50 years backward. LOL Most of modern Indian cities were established during Islamic rulers when there was a free flow of foreigners into India from many different parts of the world. People came from Africa , Eurasia , Persia , Europe to set up business and administration here. The result was massive prosperity .

@flyingspaghettimonster3791 Delhi itself was set up in Mughal rule , Calcutta was during British rule. Lucknow was during Mughal era , Hydrabad was in Nizaam era etc etc..

@flyingspaghettimonster3791 Thats not what I am talking about. Look always change. Calcutta was largely build by Armenians and Baghdadi Jews even though it was established by British , there is still a huge Chinese community in Calcutta. We had a global cosmopolitan society which we have lost.
