  1. When your only option for radar equipment , sensors and optical technology is to import them from West there is no question of reverse engineering. Even Russia uses western components in their weapons. The only other option could be China but we all know for India it would be suicidal. Most rational thing to do is to welcome western defense manufacturers into India to produce arms here.

  2. I would be really glad if the Chechens declare independence. Kadyrov is a brutal thug. He can take the full advantage and declare independence from Russia. That would be a great lesson for Putin how not to take jihadi thugs into your camp.
