When a 'Swamiji' needs to rub shoulders with politicians in India , it is 200% guaranteed he is corrupt and he has his interest in getting involved. These gurus , babas , swamijis are power brokers. They stay close to the power to manage vote bank for politicians and in return they get good land deals , tax breaks , and many many perks that out of your imagination.

I dont know about what religious philosophy you follow , but if you are coming out in the media to openly do politics and support one political leader , it means you are corrupted and hollowed out. You are simply a bunch of opportunists exercising power over sheepish population. Ramakrishna Mission in Bengal has a similar stature but you will NEVER EVER see the Math coming out so brazenly to support a political leader and pass political comments. Monks never even vote. RK Mission remains apolitical therefore I have greater faith on them as religious institution. All of these babas are corrupt thieves ; Ramdev , Ravishankar , Sadguru ..all of these guys have skeletons in their closet so they protect them by doing politics.

The debate here is not about who has the better healthcare , it was simply used as one example. The real point is how a society is controlled by religious clergy like an Islamic country. If you go to Saudi or UAE , you will see far far better hospitals , shopping malls , multi national companies..but the people are controlled by religion. LOL
