I think it is too simplistic of SG to interpret US policy in Afghanistan as random or without any clear thoughts. It might be that US deliberately did it to destabilize Afghanistan again. Its impossible that a big power acts this way without having any plan. They had a plan and maybe Taliban takeover is exactly what they wanted.
