  4. Production speed is generally based on order size rather than capacity. If the order was bigger they'd build up more capacity.

  5. So as far as I know 523 was the original order for £2.8bn. That was to work along side a life extended warrior and was more of a mastiff type replacement. With warrior cancelled the order was quickly increased to 623. 1016 and 1305 are plans rather than orders and I imagine highly subject to change. There is a second UK site in Stockport as well as some being built in Germany.

  7.  @trevortrevortsr2  ideally we'd have a tracked IFV as well. But Boxer isn't covering the fighting part (Ajax is) just the transport, so can to some extent go around or unload earlier.

  17.  @jackdransfield2230  after production there will be support contracts. And while I agree the UK doing things alone doesn't make much sense it continues to want industrial participation. RBSL would seem perfect if the UK chooses the European MGCS as it's next tank.

  28.  @matthewmallan1995  there's always been an array of weapons that can and did destroy armour. Armour isn't there to make troops invulnerable but to make them less vulnerable. There still plenty of small arms and shrapnel, so boxers.armour is still useful.

  29.  @matthewmallan1995  300 to 1 of anything is is bad, it's not telling you about the equipment. But I think what your problem is completely overestimating what Russia can do, it's a country stalled out in Ukraine that had to mobilise just to get that far.

  31. The Ajax decision was about being more British. BAE offer was to be built in Sweden, GD offered more work in Wales (though not all of course).
