@yoyo-lf3ld The answer is rarely either/or but both. Artillery has advantages in cost and persistence. Its also usable when you don't have air superiority.

@yoyo-lf3ld That is war, and war we actually fight. Even in a bigger fight you have areas that are less intense. This is light artillery so for example you can sling in under a helicopter to get it somewhere quick or hard to reach. An autoloader would add a lot of extra weight.
