  5.  @transparentglazier  man is the only religious animal he has several of them. The Bible says to be "indifferent" to your neighbors religion not merely tolerant of it. No divinity has put that in it's code. The church is always trying to get people to reform, it might not be a bad idea to reform itself a little, by way of example. There warn't anyone at Church, except a hog or two, for there warn't any lock on the door, and the hogs like puncheon floor in summer because it's cool. If ya notice most folks don't go to church only when they've got to; but the Hog is different.

But in my interest to promote "free will" just read it. The Bible has noble poetry in it... and some good morals and a wealthy of obscenity, and upwards of a thousand lies.

Consintration of power in a political machine is bad; and an Established Church is only a political machine; it was invented for that; it is nursed, cradled, preserved for that; it is an enemy of human liberty, and does no good which it could not do better do in a split-up scattered condition. I have a religion - but you will call it blasphemy. It is that there is a God for the rich man but not the poor...Perhaps your religion will sustain you, will feed you - I place no dependance on mine.
