+John May There is only one explanation she is not a rational thinker. Cara is mired in dogma, and are part of extreme left. Exactly the kind of left that Rubin is against. Her beliefs that a woman should be able to accuse anyone of rape, and they should be automatically believed even after an investigation found no evidence of rape would make your head spin.

+EnhancedNightmare If its just the lack of scientific knowledge sure, that's no reason to dislike her. However there is a reason to dislike her if she completely abandons critical thinking, and go full authoritarian zealot, when it comes the issue of rape accusations. Her views on rape accusations is that women should be able to accuse a man of rape, and people, authorities should believe that woman no matter what. Even after an investigation had found no evidence of rape, we should still believe the rape happened. That is a stance that free thinking liberals can not countenance.

+PeterK1984 could it be that she deletes those negative comments? occam's razor

+PeterK1984 Right unsub from TF because he made some errors and assumptions, but loves cara even when she knows nothing about science. That's how much difference a pretty face makes.
4
+EnhancedNightmare Well there we go, the only reason you like her is because of her face. She has no skills, no talent, but she has a nice face.
3
+PeterK1984 She never said anything stupid on science because she never say anything scientific. Just look at her none science commentary and you will see the stupid.

+John May "Vegans absolutely have the moral high ground over meat eaters." That's a ridicules argument, following that logic, not eating would be the highest moral ground one can obtain. Then everyone should just starve themselves to death.
2
+EnhancedNightmare Well that's another example of her character, and her world view. Her thinking doesn't involve evidence, she has no critical thinking skills. its really surprising that she is in the science field. But then she is in the science field because of her face, not her brain.

+John May It is ridicules to claim moral superiority over diet choices. Vegans are not the arbitrators of what's moral. You can argue by eating plants, you are destroying plant life and causing suffering of plants. Then you get to this what's conscious and what's not. Who are you to say that plants are lower lifeforms than animals and thus its ok for you to eat them? Oragisms consume each other, that's life, who are vegans that they get to decide what life is above another? The arrogance of vegans is what makes people sick.

+John May are you the moral arbiter of what gets to live and what gets to die? Plants are alive too what gives you the right to value animal life above plants? This is the problem with you people trying to claim moral high ground. You have no authority to dictate what's moral and what's not.

+John May I can deem animal life above plant life, but that's my values. I am not arrogant enough to hold my values over others, and pretend that I have the moral high ground over others. By the same token that I deem animal life over plants, I deem human life above animal life. Hence we have the food chain, herbivorous eat plants, because they are above plants. And humans eat animals because we are above animals. That's nature, and I am not arrogant enough to say that nature is immoral.
1
+John May The answer is no I have no obligation to reduce suffering of animals. Humans are a higher lifeforms thus humans can do what ever they want with a lower lifeform. Its call the natural order of things. By your logic carnivals are immoral by nature. When one talks about morality the only rule that can apply is the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. This so call the cruelty of natural selection is all in the eye of the beholder. Animals have no such concept as cruelty or brutality. Therefore, using the golden rule, cruelty or brutality can not be applied when it comes to animals. Especially when it comes to the food chain.

+EnhancedNightmare Well we shall see, but as an evidenced based thinker, she will need to prove herself with evidence, not just her pretty smile.
1
+EnhancedNightmare yeah that's too much conspiracy theory going on. its one thing to accuse her of not know anything about science and for having a ridicules position. But we enter conspiracy territory when we accuse her of being dishonest and lying to herself.
