These are the facts: 1. all governments, in all places, at all times, are bad - their every act is an imposition on the people; they tax, outlaw, impede and sabotage. 2. since every government is detrimental, the entire history of governance is a history of enslavement and impoverishment. 3. Where the people flourish - as people generally do, it is DESPITE government's best efforts to resist. Thus it is obvious, that the less a government can do, the less harm it can cause. A weak government, or as I would rather say, a strong opposition is the best the people can hope for. Don't imagine this puts nations in danger from external enemies: in the event of war, it is political practice that the party in opposition ceases to oppose, and instead supports the government.

  3. @ John Brakes. We shall see? I have the entire history of governance to support me. Governments do not create prosperity, they only harm it. Governments do not bring liberty, they only reduce it. Governments do not help people, they only hinder them. The stronger a government is, the more harm it does.

  4. Where you disagree with me, you are wrong. For example, you say "weak govt = weak foreign policy -> war. In WWII who had strong govts and strong foreign policies? Germany Japan Italy. QED. Stop wasting my time.
