@ifyouseekay1000 you call the DPRK a success ? And Vietnam ? The only reason china and partly Vietnam are economically successfull is because of foreign investment into their labor markets for mass production and exporting cheap goods. That’s it, simple.

@quantuman100 State capitalism isn’t a thing… the most similar thing would Italian fascism/ corporatism where the state has control over the economy but there is still free business and international trade.

@literallyarthurmorgan. Fascism is reactionary and was a wave that swept Europe after mental, spiritual, political and economic demonization in the aftermath of the First World War. Fascism, first implemented by Italy favored a strong authoritarian government, socially conservative order, Catholicism. However for economics it did let private enterprise exist but also provided social security nets for the poor, so it was economically mixed, also it nationalized oil reserves in Libya so that is socialist.

Soviet troops were constantly hated by the German population who saw than as occupiers and their policies made East Germany lag behind west Germany in happiness, economy, military, healthcare, etc. East Germany was the very first communist country to be tore down, well before the Soviet Union unraveled
