Freddie is bang on here. People will only go so far when it comes to indulging their guilt. This is why we too often adopt values that we can afford, in the case of the wealthy so called luxury values ie ones that won't fundamentally affect our own personal situations but might also, as an added bonus, serve as a useful stick to beat others, often less fortunate, with. In part this explains how the UK Labour Party was hijacked by the middle class metropolitan elites.

@Cedawood Doesn't bother me one way or another either, but I'll not waste my time in future on someone who demonstrably can't get their facts straight and is attempting to weave an unreliable narrative. Like your like-minded friends on here this doesn't seem to bother you one iota so I'll leave you to it.

@Libertariun No. Somehow thinking that one can get away with encapsulating an entire peaceful mass movement essentially against an ongoing war crime in the words of one seriously misguided single individual who has since apologised.

@johnricercato740 No. He actually said things that if I were being kind were wrong and were I less charitable outright dishonest. In terms of 'growing up' maturity has nothing necessarily to do with the ability to discern fact from fiction or truth from lies. Come back to me when you feel able to do so yourself.

This is why 'elites' love, love, lurve identitarian politics and the current obsession with it. It constantly allows them to apparently adopt a higher moral position. Race, gender, sexuality etc provide the ideal distraction from overall wealth inequality which is what they're actually petrified of the unwashed masses focusing upon. For want of a better word, it can all be reduced to 'class'.
