Should a communist drug-addict who staunchly rejected every effective economic and political ideology, be placed on a bank note? I don't think so. Argentina are suffering from corporations leaving the country en masse by its penalizing tax rate, economic stagnation, huge debts, and a situation that 8/10 Argentinians wants to leave. This is partially connected to the ideology that Maradona stood for. Think about that.

@ramatgan1 People have their flaws, sure, but most people aren't communist sympathizers while being capitalist tax evaders. Most people aren't lost drug addicts. Such people should probably not be cherished and praised by the top of the central bank and the government. His efforts as a football player is perhaps not enough to outweigh all of his open shortcomings.
