  2. Becoming friends with China to avoid being transparent and to avoid having to make a change to one's economic model, is bad. China are providing funds to these nations on the condition that China can receive influence and profitability in the end. Other than that, there's no strings attached. Congo should partner up with the IMF and the West instead.

  4. Greed will be the end of many societies. Affluent and successful politicians stealing public funds for their own luxurious lifestyle rather than helping the vulnerable and building up a strong country, is an immense issue everywhere but especially in Africa. Criminals, lobbyists, the corporate world and those in power benefits personally by the existence of corruption, but all below ends up at a continuous disadvantage. Rooting this out seems like an impossibility, sadly. Maybe because greed and gluttony are so entangled within humanity.
