  1. Abolishing protectionism in the agricultural sector is very risky. Can result in a destroyed industry, crushed profits, and reliance in corporations or countries that may not have your own best interests in mind. Not sure what Modi and his cabinet were thinking here, apart from just looking at it from a perspective of pure return of investment financially.
