  1. Democracy in Tunisia worsened their situation. Democratic principles used to respond to a pandemic failed miserably. This hasn't been a great year for those advocating for liberal democracy. It's on rapid retreat, into reformation.

I look at religion this way: Uphold most of the moral principles, but disband it from society and let scientific consensus dictate policy and societal responses during tough times. Focus on education, sound fiscal policy and lifting the uneducated populace from the dirt. But, avoid communist/socialist ideology at the same time at all costs.
