  2. If running aground is this high of a risk, you can question if it's even worth permitting these massive freight ships to travel through this canal. Look at the oil- and goods prices skyrocketing after this. Look at all the wasted time. You either need two separate cancels to be dug out somehow, or solely accept smaller cargo ships.
