Decades later, Bangladesh and Pakistan are still incredibly poor countries. 24% lives below the national poverty line. 9% of Bangladeshis whom are employed earn a wage equivalent to lower than $1,9 PPP. Shame that the extremism and economic issues weren't abandoned when Bangladesh became independent.
