  1. Don't lie now. Lockdowns can be a temporary answer to get control of the virus. It has worked in many parts of the world, and is supported by science. The economy will also perform better if you can assert control over the outbreak and open up ASAP, just like NZ, Taiwan, China, and others. But even if you were right, why is the economic argument even relevant when this is about saving lives? Is the economy more important than a country's citizens?
