  1. The mafia were barely an issue under fascist Italy with Mussolini at the top. Practically erased. While fascism may not be the ideal solution, certain elements of the ideology such as the collective authoritarianism and zero tolerance against wrongdoing, certainly is. But that's currently still stigmatized.
