The daily infection and death rate is alarming, higher than most countries on earth. The total per capita death rate is also very alarming, Sweden is ranked 10 or 20 in the globe there. This approach of doing nothing has not worked in the country, and has been demoralizing. People and politicians has defied recommendations, skied, travelled abroad and nonchalantly dismissed the guidelines entirely. So something had to be done. These laws are good first step. But this government should be punished and held accountable for their negligence and for enabling this mess in the first place. That includes Löfvén, Hallengren, Tegnell, Giesecke, Dan Eliasson, and everyone who've spread misinfo to uphold this failing strategy.

Yup. It's embarrassing what has happened in Sweden the past year, and years for the matter. Pseudoscientific notions, naivity, liberally extreme policies, and pure negligence. Many must be held accountable.

This should have been implemented in this country a year ago. The government's response has been embarrassingly slow, the health institute has defied scientific consensus (opposed mask usage and denounced all lockdown measures) and the people are fine with this liberally deranged approach. Ministers and politicians travelled abroad several times this autumn, in the midst of the pandemic. The almost non-existining guidelines that everyone is encouraged to follow, aren't even follow by the top. It's a disgrace.
