  1. Saddening to hear that the situation is worsening in Peru, once again. I've got deep respect for Peru's attempt of taking strong measures to contain the virus even though the country has a problem with poverty and lack of development. They deserve to be doing better.

  2. Ecuador has a population of 17M citizens, Peru with 32M. Ecuador has 14,6K recorded coronavirus deaths, while Peru has a little over 40K recorded deaths. From some quick mathematic extrapolation, that seems to imply that Peru is doing ~85% worse per capita, if we go by these statistics.
