@KeeperGER China won't break apart, because yes, it isn't communist. It has become a quite thriving country with increased standards of living for hundreds of millions, which they enjoy and are satisfied with. The CCP has control over the nation, and nothing indicates that the grip on power will cease. Quite the contrary. Authoritarianism (fascism isn't the right characterization here) has its place in some cases, and does work effectively. Defending the HK rioters here can't be done through logic or a straight face. No informed person does so.

If democracy implies burning down the city, vandalizing things, rioting for nothing, shaming the police and trying to release violence criminals, the concept is flawed and not desirable. The security legislation in HK is needed. Anyone who've studied the topic knows this.

"Protesters" These are rioting vandals that should be (and are) locked up behind bars. This is why every Western country and its ally should stay out of these affairs. They're defending extreme individuals that haven't got any legal or rational basis to riot or protest for illogically strange ideas. These are the same type of news channels and activists that labelled the hostile and atrocious BLM and Antifa riots as "mostly peaceful protests", even though it resulted in over $2b in property damage, hundreds of injured officers/citizens, dozens dead, and normalization of the idea that criminal culprits should be protected instead of punished and removed.
