  1. Other countries don't do business with China because of ideology, they do it because they want foreign investment. Unfortunately, many of these deals only benefit those at the top while ordinary people get nothing. The loans that China offers can be hard for countries to pay off, and China winds up controlling their vital resources. It's a bit like losing your home to a loan shark.
