It's not just the cost of education that's hurting us, it's the fact that middle class wages have not shown any growth in more than a decade despite steady gains in worker productivity and corporate profits. Federal and state support for universities has been cut, so costs get shifted onto the students---some of whom will go on to vote for politicians who tell them we cant fund education cause we need tax cuts for the rich and corporate welfare.
