  1. It's called the free market, supply and demand. Oil companies shut down production and stopped opening new wells during the pandemic when the economy shut down. The economy is growing again, but it takes time for new wells to come online. Republicans try to blame Biden, but can't offer any facts to back it up.

The free market (oil companies) decide how much oil to produce in this country, while oil prices themselves are set in a global marketplace. Maybe you should wait until your past the fourth grade before you try speaking among the grown-ups.

  3.  @bart4543  oil is priced and sold in a global market. If Germany is willing to pay more for a barrel of Texas crude, guess what---Germany gets the oil. One pipeline between the U.S. and Canada has no impact on the price of oil.
