Meanwhile in U.S., people go vegan just because meat production uses up too much energy, people pay premium for apparels that minimize environmental harm during production, people pay more for goods under fair trade. Go and live in U.S. and see how environmentally conscious they are. U.S.'s “problem” with waste, is overconsumption, not irresponsibility with environment. But a movement of “living small” is trending.

@Shenzhou. Producing those biodegradable stuff still needs to consume energy, still needs to be transported to shops, which again, consumes energy. It's much easier to just be self-conscious and bring your own.

@paulgallagher2937 Where did Tesla got its start? China? Every single freeakin' time, it's U.S. taking risks pioneering, and everyone follows only after risks had turned into viable businesses proven to be profitable. But oh, it's U.S. falling behind.
