  2.  @cashmerecat9269  Taiwanese were not trying to claim China. Chiang Kai Shek refused to acknowledge legitimacy of Mao's PRC independence. Not the same thing.

  3. One China, one Taiwan is still one China. The dispute was over MAINLAND, as Chiang Kai Shek refused to acknowledge legitimacy of PRC. It had nothing to do with Taiwan.
