There's many reasons Ukraine keeps fighting for Bakhmut. By most accounts, Russia is losing far more people as they are just sending large number of troops into the battle often just to try to overwhelm Ukraine and make small gain after small gain but at a huge costs. But also, if Ukraine just gave up Bakhmut, Russia would just be doing the same in the next town. Third, it's very likely that Ukraine is waiting on the next batch of more powerful weapons so this is a way to deplete Russian forces and weapons while Ukraine waits for the weapons to do their own surge.

@chuapg1518 I don't think they need the tanks in order to start since they've had success previously without tanks. They do need some of the other weapons though.

@chuapg1518 My last comment was just me saying I don't think they need Tanks to star their offensive attack. You brought up military jets and I asked you what the relevance is. What exactly was the point of " Now, he begging for fighter jets." other than to indicate to me that you are either a Moscow or Beijing worker.
