2:13 is this a mistake? 140,000 enter manhattan by car but so my somehow 1 million enter manhattan south of 60th by automobile? Doors that mean 860,000+ enter by bus or did 140k mean to refer to a different transportation method?

@shamusduffey4873 same. Three times actually and I couldn’t make sense of it. He did change the term from Cars to automobile and that leave buses but that wouldn’t make sense.

@Ushio01 you can’t get a fully working transit system without raising money and that’s what congestion tolls do….raise money for public transit. And New York has amazing public transit with buses everywhere and trains near most people. That said, it’s not remotely accurate to say no one is affected. All policies have losers or else they would have been policy along time ago!

@Ushio01 “you can”. Sure, you can do anything! But it doesn’t mean it’s easy and feasible or certain. You need to raise lots of money and what, one of the highest taxed cities in the country will just raise taxes for all to help only those in manhattan? Be realistic and stop being uneducated on how real life works.

I find it funny when a solution to a problem is often progressive ideas but the opposition is often progressive ideology. Wanting cleaner air and less pollution is more popular among the left but it’s also the left that mostly oppose a solution like congestion tolls due to disproportionately affecting middle and lower class.
