22 minutes of highway so 20 miles away. But yeah, it's not super bad. My family in the suburbs drive 10-12 min each way. I walk 15 min to a grocery store and sometimes even drive 20 min (in a city) one way to my favorite grocery store. But that 20min is 5-6 miles.

@HeidiThompson7 in the US, many people in the suburbs drive at least 15 min to their grocery store. In Europe that would seem like too long of a drive for groceries

@JaimeWarlock where In Hawaii would it take 3 hours to get to a Costco? The only place I can think of is living near Hana?

@JaimeWarlock Hana to costco is also about 2hrs per google maps. It's a slow winding round to Hana -- I don't know how people live there, it's so secluded (remote - 45min to anything else) and it's extremely rainy. I stayed in an AIRBNB near Pahoa a few years ago. I forgot about that Southwest part of the big island. Isn't Hilo the biggest city on the Island? I would have thought Costco would be by Hilo.

@DroneBeeStrike u sound like the worst kind of person. You think it's good for the economy and for the people that a major chain loses money for a bit to drive out competition then raises the prices Just admit it, you don't competitive market capitalism. You like the monopoly type of capitalism.
