The same problem exist in Latin America that existed in Asia except Asian countries are making the reforms while most Latin American countries don’t make reforms and just keep blaming others (usually the west or US if it’s a leftist).

@Hfil66 making up “reasonable” hypothetical scenarios is a reasonable thing to do”. Public schools are rejecting students too. Just like private schools (that are heavily regulated and forced to take anyone using a voucher), public schools also reject students.

@adamih96 Thanks. That was the main point I was trying to make -- others were saying the private schools were just purposely not accepting many students and thus only got the best students.

@KittenCritters of course they don’t measure tons of stuff in a short a video but the research discusses it. And on the part where OP is trying y to say that private schools are just turning down problematic schools, that appears to be false as a broad statement.

@Hfil66 "To say that the voucher is valid for any school does not mean the school cannot deny the student." Except they cannot deny the student. If a voucher is valid anywhere, then that 'free school' (private school) is not denying students based on whatever reasons you made up.

@guilhermepontes2416 US is mix of both though the best universities are private (Ivy League, MIT, Stanford), there are lots of top notch public schools as well.

Back In 2021, I met this nice Venezuelan lady in Playa Del Carmen Mexico who owned the Venezuelan restaurant we were dining at. She told a similar story. She left Venezuela around 2008-2010 knowing things were going to get worse…and wow, they did.

In the US, there needs to be an increase of people going to community colleges. If you’re not American, not sure how to describe them. They function kind of like a trade school but also can be used to replaced your first two years in a university by taking the basic level courses for cheaper and close to home. The associate degree one gets from a community college cms be used for many things such as nurse, technicians, paralegal, etc.

Well, those people you named are but a few and the research still holds. I think what matters is where on their rise is the company when the entrepreneur leaves-dies-retires. If the company is still rising, the entrepreneur gone will have a negative impact for sure. If the company is already peaked, I don’t think the entrepreneur adds much. So Gates stepping down when he did in his 50’s was not a big deal. If Zuckerberg were replaced today that could be positive. So long as the company is no longer an innovative company, the entrepreneur adds little value compared to another accomplished CEO stepping in

Successful Entrepreneurs have a vision of innovation that a normal CEO doesn’t. So rising innovative company is indeed best served with the entrepreneur (it’s his vision the company the is based on) but once the company either is no longer innovate (becomes just part of the establishment corporation) or has shifted focus to innovation in something different, the original entrepreneur isn’t as important and a good ceo could do as good or better.

If a private school would need to accept a bad student, sorry this year we are doing 29 students per class instead of 30." This seems like it wouldn't really have much impact overall. Are they changing their capacity each day? I f not, then I don't see how this would have much impact. And do you mean with " they are assigned to capacity by distance by a third party.". It appears you are saying that a 3rd party assigns the capacity but you also said the private school changes the capacity.

The video explained well why AI won't lead to communism but I do think it will lead to 'less' capitalism. There still will need to be a certain amount of capitalism / free market but we won't rely on it as much. I see the future (way in the future) where there all people will have a minimum decent life but if you want to excel you will have to engage in the capitalist economy more.

Yes, a little horse shoe effect. The further left and further right but are protectionist but from different motivations. As you stated, one is form nationalism (we are the best and must do everything ourselves) and the other is for lack of a better word social justice (we must protect all workers!).
