Even those not formerly colonized by France or even others have had major issues. Millions starved in North Korea. then look at Ethiopia.

@SeeLasSee I'm referring to the recent war with over 600,000 fatalities. And the famine from a few decades ago was in part to the govt making it difficult to get food to the people -- it's happening again. From AP >The United States Agency for International Development suspended all food assistance to the northern Ethiopian region of Tigray “until further notice” while it investigates the theft of humanitarian supplies. The U.N. confirmed earlier reports that it was doing the same.

@noahjohnson935 Example of Putin. he helped out initially by stabilizing the country though a big part was just the fact oil prices doubled in his few few years. Overtime, they have had stagnant economy with rights eroded. Now, they believe that their current situation is the best it will get because that the only thing they hear in their media.

But Hattians can't help Haiti. It's a failed state. They will need outside support but nobody wants to be dragged into that mess.
