This is happening a lot lately. This is the 3rd story in 2 months I have seen this happening. Kind of makes me wonder if someone is laundering money through their accounts.

@Jahairalove84 - hold on, mentioning a policy that happens from time to time is not selfish or pathetic. She is they type of person you want to see get a reward. She did the right thing, she did it without expectations of a reward. But before you think she is a virtue of all that is good and holy. Keep in mind someone had to have told I.E. what happened. I seriously don’t think it was the bank. They usually don’t want the public to know this happens. 🤔Then again, it could have been a rival bank that let it be known.

@badboy99987 - my argument was other companies/businesses, the government gives 10% of money found. The bank could have given her something like that. I understand 10% is a lot but something. She did help them by finding money that was lost and had not been found yet. The man hours used to fund that money costs the bank money, she saved the bank that money. No one had to stop what they we’re doing so no wasted resources. That is worth something and 10% of that could have been her reward.

Steph Daigle - true but, it is still how criminal start the money laundering process. Mixing criminal money in with reputable money associated with reputable people. On paper, it look like the money came from them. You do this enough times it will take a lot of work to trace the original origin. The paperwork the bank provides because of these glitches can mask a lot.
