  1. He used the lane splitting correctly. Congested or bumper to bumper traffic. I was going 75 with a few cars around me when a couple bikes just blew by. That’s not what the rule was made for. The first thing out of their mouths though when you confront them - it’s legal! As Lisa just said though, in most states it is not. In some states very specific conditions have to be met. However, most bikers think it’s legal cause in California you can do it.
