Very happy to hear you speak on this as this was something i realized years back when my cousin sent me some links about it and if you just step back and think about it on the most basic terms as you've laid out, there's no logical reason at all to do this to an infant and yes i find it immoral and a violent act against one's own child. It should be abolished and if people want it they need to be 18 to decide.
