There's 3 replies and I can see none. We all need to be calling on our state reps to ratify the Convention of States to reign in the federal government overreach.

@pietrayday9915 These people are appalling! Also reminds me of my now deceased aunt who was an alcoholic and chronic under-achiever who loved taking advantage of every government assistance program that she could and would frequently be given chances and be hired at great jobs only to just suddenly stop showing up one day and not even bothering to call in. She loved her cheap bottles of vodka though and had to have those daily. She even lied to police once when they found her sleeping outside of a Starbucks and made up some story that she was raped in order to get out of any trouble. They knew she was full of shit though and just dropped her off back at our home when she was living w/us for a time - against my wishes. Her alcoholism and not taking care of herself is what caused her death last year although doctors said it was complications due to her getting Covid then her heart having issues ever since... I still blame her own actions on herself dying so young at only age 46.

@margaretmojica8190 These kind of people piss me off. They don't have any ambition in life to do better for themselves and their families? I just don't understand it. These are the types that will die first when SHTF which is most likely still will in some form in the next 2 years.

@DavidHeffron78 No, the Constitution outlines what the federal government is for. It's only for protecting our borders and foreign relations. That's it! The only reason infrastructure is included now is due to federal hwys. Use your brain. States need to handle everything else, again, as per the Constitution that no one seems to follow anymore. This is why we need a Convention of States so badly and any good American should be writing your state reps about it.

I'm tired of this issue. The only thing that's reasonable is what I believe you, Styx, said before. Cut the interest rates down to 0% if they've already paid a good amount on the loan, but still make them owe the loan amount. I also take pride in being responsible for what I signed up for and I went to art school and still have $11k student loan debt to pay off, and I will pay that off! I don't want anyone else covering for me. Some people who have over $50k in student loan debt though never seem to get ahead even when making $500/mo payments, and that's why they shouldn't have to pay interest b/c the interest makes it so they can never pay it off. The federal government needs to get out of the business of providing loans at all. It's not their job, and we know that's why tuition rates have gone up b/c it's so easy to get a check from Big Daddy Government. "Make college tuition affordable again" should be the protest slogan, and if we could just manage a year of every college student striking from going or entering into college, we can force them all to make changes. Stop enrolling so they'll stop up-charging so much! And stop the mandatory books too. They started that crap after I graduated from my art school and the books weren't needed for most of the classes. The good teachers protested and resisted that, but then were eventually fired, which is so stupid. It's all a money grift game. They didn't care how many people actually got jobs in their field after graduation. I sure as hell didn't. I even tried to get help getting an internship and they didn't help me at all. I could've gotten the job I have now w/o that degree at all, making decent money and being less in debt!
