So sad. People need to see the affects of this more and I think especially young teens should be forced to look at washed out drug addicts and listen to stories of people dying from drug use and the affects it has on their family semi-regularly so they never forget what it does to you.

It always starts in the home. We need to fix our families first! I'm always watching myself making sure I don't turn out like my parents. Most for some reason don't do the self analysis they need to and like living in denial and just ignoring the problems and cover them up w/other things like they see their parents or other adults do.

It's the saddest thing in the world imo b/c humanity would be great if we all weren't so broken and wandering around not knowing how to fix ourselves most of the time.

This has got to stop! It's getting insane and I worry about our nation's future when so many turn to drugs due to real life depression and dysfunctional domestic households. We gotta heal ourselves first and soon!

@Alexandra-fz7lk Yeah there's usually two different types of people, the ones who follow in their parent's footsteps good or bad or the ones who see their own path and when they come from shitty childhoods they have a stronger willpower to make their future life different. I'm of the latter, but it's still a struggle sometimes.

Very true! I second that. You never know who you help by speaking out on a subject like this and others.

Sorry for your loss. :( I can't imagine the pain.

My condolences to you Styx. Always a weird feeling when this happens. It's happened to me too, and I just feel sad for their soul.

Yep, many of us waste time and drag ourselves down trying to help bfs, gfs or just friends or other family members see the light. I say give it a few solid tries but after that, there's not much you can do for them. They have to realize it and want it themselves.
