Yes, I echo what all of the other commenters are saying: close all public schools, make them go private, and if we have to be taxed at all for education even people like me who don't have kids, then they should go directly to the child, but I'm of the mind that parents should take full responsibility for their child's education and it shouldn't be lumped in as part of the tax system. We have more resources than ever before for kids to be home schooled easily so I'd recommend that the most and parents could even alternate between each other hosting classes in their own homes or some other public place so kids can still be together and learn from different teaching styles. There's so many better ways we could be approaching this than letting teachers unions have all of the control. They need to be abolished.
